Very effective and incredibly sensitive. It works on a cantilever principle and can be set using the sliding cork ball, to register normal bites and lift bites. Full instructions are available in the images, however, if you fish the float cocked to 45 degrees (calm weather only) it will register both types of bite clearly - 5mm of movement on the hook end equals 20mm movement on the sight bob with little perceived resistance by the fish!
