Whether you are buying this for someone special or just for yourself, these oak display stands allow you to display your favourite float to perfection. They look great next to your collection of angling books or can be used as a very functional paper weight on one's desk. I use mine to display a float that landed a particularly memorable fish and has been the cause of many a day dream as I relive the memory of that day. Displayed on my bookcase, it has sparked several conversations with visiting friends.

Made from weathered oak heart wood with a silicone lined hole in the center. This allows the float stem to be inserted securely without damaging the float. The outside edge has a matt brushed finish and the cut ends are polished and sealed with a blend of tung oil and bees wax I make up myself. This feeds the dry wood and several coats create a long lasting satin finish that will only require the odd dusting and buffing on a lint free cloth (kitchen roll on the work surface does the trick!) Being weathered oak, there are natural cracks that extend into the stand which when combined with the glorious grain of the wood, create the perfect compliment for my range of floats.

The display stand will come with a 4mm hole unless it is ordered with a specific float, in which case it will be sized accordingly.

Each stand is unique but as a rough guide, they measure 30mm tall and 45mm wide (1.25'' by 1.75'')
